Welcome from Steven N. Annibali, Chief of Police

Welcome to the Arroyo Grande Police Department's Web page! The page has been redesigned with the goal of providing a better, more useful resource for our citizens. In choosing the new, improved look of our page, we were driven by our department's motto, Ensuring the Quality of Life. Here at the Arroyo Grande Police Department, our employees and volunteers are committed to providing the highest level of service to our citizens and our community.

The Arroyo Grande Police Department is one of the most professional and well respected police forces on the Central Coast of California. Frequently serving as a model of contemporary policing, the Arroyo Grande Police Department has long set a standard of excellence for policing skills, customer service and performance.

The Department provides police services to a resident population of nearly 17,000 and a daily population of more than 20,000. It is the job of nearly 50 full and part-time employees that serve as police officers, reserve officers, parking enforcement, civilian support staff and school crossing guards to keep Arroyo Grande's 5.45 square miles safe for our residents and visitors.

The AGPD provides a full range of police services including patrol, traffic, investigations, communications and records, parking enforcement and a School Resource Officer assigned to work within the Lucia Mar School District. The Department participates in both the San Luis Regional Narcotics Task Force and the Regional SWAT Team.

For many of the employees and volunteers of the Arroyo Grande Police Department, one of the best rewards of working in a department the size and caliber of the AGPD is the fact that they can really make a difference in the community they serve.

The men and women who serve in the Arroyo Grande Police Department do so with unmistakable pride. It sends a message that commitment still exists and that somebody is "Ensuring Quality of Life".
