City Council Selects Alternative for Brisco-Halcyon Road Interchange Project
At its regular meeting on March 26, 2019, the City Council adopted a Resolution selecting Alternative 4C with phasing and deferral and potential removal of sound walls and the Highway 101 south bound on-ramp at Grand Avenue, as the locally preferred alternative for the Brisco-Halcyon Road Interchange Project.
The Brisco Road-Halcyon Road/US 101 Interchange project has been underway since the late 1990s. Currently the project is in the Project Approval and Environmental Determination (PA&ED) phase with three project alternatives under review, as highlighted below:
The First Alternative (Alt 1):
Close the northbound on and off-ramps at Brisco Road and US 101
Complete intersection improvements at Camino Mercado and US 101
Complete intersection improvements on the north and southbound ramps at Grand Avenue and US 101
